Terms of Use

Review the terms governing your access to Shadow Remover and its image-processing tools.

Effective Date: September 28, 2026

1. Eligibility & Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of entering into a binding agreement.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity performed through your account.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.

2. Description of Service

Shadow Remover provides online tools for removing shadows from uploaded images. The Service may expand to include object removal, background editing, image cleanup, generation, enhancement, export, storage, and other related tools.

We may add, modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Availability, processing time, output quality, supported formats, and usage limits may change as the Service evolves.

3. User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload and outputs you are legally entitled to own.
  • You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and transform your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.
  • You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and legal authority needed to upload, edit, process, download, and use the content.
  • You are responsible for your uploads, requested edits, downloaded results, and how you use or distribute outputs.

4. Acceptable Use & Content Safety

We may use automated and manual processes to detect misuse, enforce these Terms, and protect users and the Service.

  • Do not upload, process, store, request, or distribute unlawful, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, exploitative, or otherwise harmful content.
  • Do not use the Service for sexually explicit, pornographic, non-consensual intimate, exploitative, or sexualized content involving minors.
  • Do not alter images in ways that violate privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, contractual, or other third-party rights.
  • Do not create false evidence, forged documents, misleading records, or deceptive materials intended for fraud or unlawful conduct.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service, infrastructure, models, or another user’s data.
  • Do not bypass credits, rate limits, account restrictions, safety filters, moderation systems, or other technical protections.

We may refuse processing, block outputs, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with lawful authorities when misuse is suspected.

5. Plans, Billing & Credits

Some features may require a paid plan, prepaid credits, or usage-based fees. Prices, included credits, renewal terms, expiration rules, and applicable limits are presented at purchase or signup.

Fees are charged in advance unless stated otherwise. Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, payments and used credits are non-refundable. Contact us promptly if you believe a charge was made in error.

We may change pricing prospectively. Changes to recurring-plan pricing will apply no earlier than a future billing cycle after reasonable notice, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties for hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, communications, billing, security, and image processing. Their services may be subject to separate terms and policies. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for third-party systems outside our control.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, interfaces, workflows, branding, documentation, and related intellectual property, is owned by Shadow Remover or its licensors. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, all rights are reserved.

8. Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or obligation to you.

9. Termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, failed to pay applicable fees, abused the Service, or if continued operation is no longer practical. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that should survive termination by their nature will remain effective.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

  • Image editing results may be incomplete, inaccurate, visually imperfect, or unsuitable for your intended use.
  • You must not rely on processed outputs without independent review in legal, evidentiary, medical, insurance, employment, identity-verification, compliance, archival, or other high-risk contexts.
  • You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using, publishing, sharing, storing, or relying on them.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shadow Remover, its affiliates, personnel, contractors, agents, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or use arising from the Service.

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service;
  • The quality, suitability, legality, or accuracy of any upload or output;
  • Reliance on an edited or generated result;
  • Errors, corruption, delays, deletion, or loss involving content or outputs;
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of data;
  • A third-party provider or dependency used with the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shadow Remover and its affiliates, personnel, agents, and licensors from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, outputs, use of the Service, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

14. International Users

If you use the Service outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. We do not represent that the Service is lawful or appropriate in every jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
